Software & Technical Consulting in Peterborough

Sometimes you don't need code — you need a straight answer. We've architected marketplaces, fintech apps, SaaS platforms, and AI systems in production. We bring that judgment to your technical decisions: what to build, what to buy, what to fix, and what to stop doing.

Not sure? Ask us directly — we'll tell you if it's not a fit.

A second opinion before you sign

The most expensive software mistakes are made before any code is written: the wrong vendor, the wrong scope, the wrong platform. A few days of independent review can save months of rework.

Send us the proposal, the statement of work, or the vendor shortlist. We'll tell you what's missing, what's padded, and what questions to ask before you commit.

When a project is stuck

Stalled builds usually fail for a handful of reasons: unclear scope, an architecture that fights the product, or a team that's been stretched too thin. We read the code, the tickets, and the infrastructure, then write down what's actually going on.

You get a plain-language report with options — finish, fix, or restart — and a recommendation. Whether you hire us for the next step is entirely up to you.

Fractional CTO for growing teams

Not every company needs a full-time technology executive. For founders and owner-operated businesses in Peterborough and beyond, we can sit in on planning, hire and review developers, set technical direction, and keep vendors honest — a few hours a week, as needed.

Questions

Consulting, answered.

What does a consulting engagement look like?+

Most engagements are 1–4 weeks. We review your code, infrastructure, or plans, then deliver a written report with concrete recommendations — not a sales pitch for more work.

Will you tell us not to build something?+

Yes, when it's true. If a $200/month SaaS tool solves your problem, we'll say so. Our consulting isn't a funnel for development work.

Can you review a proposal from another vendor?+

Absolutely — it's one of the highest-value things we do. We'll tell you if the scope, timeline, or price doesn't make sense before you sign.

Do you do IT support or networking?+

No — we're a software studio, not a managed IT provider. We focus on software, websites, data, and AI. If you need help desk or network support, we're happy to point you toward the right kind of firm.
